Fun and challenging school sport for all
Sport at our school is fun and challenging. There is something for everyone to be involved in, so no matter what your child may be interested in, there’s sure to be something for them here. Specialist coaches are used to help ensure that pupils get the most from their involvement in terms of their physical development, aptitude and enjoyment. In addition to our own large recreation area, we are fortunate to have the use of extensive, specialist sports facilities.
In Key Stage Two (ages 7-11) P.E. includes football, netball, cricket, rugby, games, dance, gym, athletics, swimming and adventure activities. Regular courses involving stays at field study centres are available for Junior pupils which include hiking, archery, climbing, orienteering, and the development of leadership and teamwork. A Swimming Gala and School Sports Day are also regular events on the school calendar, as are competitive matches against other local schools.
