School visits and cultural development

Places of cultural interest are key in helping children develop. Each class normally go on school visits at least once a term and parents are invited to assist on these trips. Your child will visit local theatres, and drama companies entertain us at the school. A variety of instruments are available for the children to play in Music lessons and they partake in performances through the year in a friendly environment to build confidence.

French and Spanish are taught from Year One as the acquisition of language skills is important. It is more than just learning a foreign language. It will aid your child’s intellectual growth and enrich their cognitive development. Learning another language also gives them an appreciation of customs and cultures of different groups of people.
