Forest School Continues!

Reception could not wait to get started with Forest Schools again this term. We set off, as usual on Friday lunchtime with all the resources we needed. Once we arrive, we always discuss the Forest School rules - one of them being ‘no lick/no pick’ and count each other in by using ‘sticky elbows.’

Over the holidays the area had been worked on and there were many new places to explore, including many fallen and cut down trees to climb and balance on. We had the mud kitchen set up as usual and the children loved getting dirty and making mud pies. We also had the peelers so that we could whittle sticks. Miss Rasho even made a swing for the children to play on! At the end of the session, we always play ‘1,2,3 Where are you?’, where the children have to use their listening skills to work out where others are hiding.  We cannot wait to carry on our sessions this term, the last one of this year being on the 24th May.
